<purpose>This data set was created and attributed for use as a base map for the Cobblestone Creek-May Creek geologic mapping project. The dataset was created to provide maximum quality resolution for printing and publication purposes.</purpose>

<attraccr>Spatial data attributes were attached to data objects using ArcGIS 9. Attributes within the geologically mapped area were verified for consistency and completeness by comparing to the paper USGS quadrangle maps. Entities and attributes that occur or extend beyond the geologic map boundary have not been quality controlled for completeness or accuracy.</attraccr>

<logic>Polygon topology is present and clean on the originating geospatial dataset. All polygon features were were topologically validated using the ESRI ArcGIS 9.0 software prior to export to shape file format. The logical consistency of the point and line files has been visually checked but not systematically verified.

<complete>This dataset includes geospatial data that contain information about the topography and hydrology of the Chandler Lake C-1 and B-1 1:63,360 quadrangle maps as illustrated by the U.S. Geological Survey.</complete>
